Temporary Cook – Corporate Cafeteria

Location: London, ON
Position: Cook
Shift: Wednesday, July 29 | 7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Pay rate: $21 -23/hr (based on experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to support food service operations in a corporate cafeteria. This is a temporary morning shift, ideal for a cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment and is committed to preparing high-quality meals while following food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and production schedules.
• Assist with breakfast and lunch preparation.
• Ensure food is prepared, cooked, and presented to high-quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely.
• Assist with stocking, food storage, and kitchen cleanup.
• Work efficiently with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant, cafeteria, healthcare, hospitality, or institutional food service setting.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Food Handler Certification is an asset.
