About this roleWe are accepting applications for all levels of Electricians in the Lower Mainland, to work on variety of new build and renovation projects. This is great opportunity to get your foot in the door with Houle and grow your electrical career.Depending on experience, as an Electrician you will be performing installation, repairs and maintenance of electrical systems and low-voltage technologies (Data, Security & Access Control and Building Controls). Our current projects may involve working in hospitals, institutions, commercial spaces, residential builds and industrial settings.What we're looking forExperienced Electricians:Certified Red Seal Electrician, FSR A or FSR B certificate an asset.Good understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code.Experience performing electrical installs, maintenance and commissioning for electrical systems in commercial, institutional or healthcare settings.Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings and electrical schematics.Experience leading a team and/or mentoring apprentices, is an asset.Those with experience or qualifications in the following technologies are also encouraged to apply: Security Systems (CCTV), Access Control, Fire Alarm, Healthcare Technologies (Nurse Call, RTLS) or Building Controls (HVAC, DDC).Those with experience in electrical service, attending service calls, performing preventative maintenance and repairs, are also encouraged to apply.Apprentice Electricians:Must be enrolled in electrical apprenticeship program or qualified to start an apprenticeship program.Previous experience working as Electrical Apprentice considered an asset.Willingness and desire to learn.Qualifications for all:Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Safety mindset – follow safety protocols, ensure compliance with electrical code and use attention to detail when completing tasks.Good organization skills – ability to keep your workspace and areas around you clean and tidy.Good customer service skills when dealing with customers and other trades people on site.Ability to communicate effectively in English.Must be a member of the IBEW 213 Union or willing to become one. Houle is accepting applications for all levels of Electricians, including Journey and Apprentices, in the Lower Mainland.
Preferred qualifications include a Certified Red Seal Electrician or FSR A/B certificate, and a good understanding of the Canadian Electrical Code.
Experience in commercial, institutional, or healthcare electrical installs, maintenance, and commissioning is desired, with added emphasis on security systems, access control, fire alarms, nurse call, RTLS, or building controls as applicable.
This role requires being a member of the IBEW 213 union or being willing to become one.
Salary is described as compensation through the IBEW 213 Collective Agreement, with additional great benefits and pension.
Apprentice Electricians must be enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship program or qualified to start one, with previous experience as an electrical apprentice considered an asset and a willingness to learn.
