What are the Responsibilities?As a key member of the maintenance team, you'll be responsible for ensuring machinery, equipment, and facility systems remain safe, efficient, and operational.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Troubleshooting and repairing production equipment and machinery
- Maintaining pumps, conveyors, mixers, extruders, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Performing preventative maintenance on equipment and systems
- Conducting building and facility maintenance as required
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial process equipment
- Diagnosing mechanical and basic electrical issues
- Performing repair welding when necessary
- Following lockout/tagout procedures and maintaining safety standards
- Coordinating with external contractors and repair services
- Supporting production uptime through fast, effective troubleshooting
- Assisting with additional maintenance projects as operational needs require
- Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright or equivalent certification
- Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities
- Experience with:
- Pumps
- Conveyors
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Mixers
- Extruders
- Basic electrical troubleshooting skills
- Welding experience and ability to perform repair welds
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
- Experience using CMMS systems and Microsoft Office programs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Ability to successfully complete a mechanical aptitude assessment
- Ability to regularly lift up to 70 lbs
- Must be comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Must be clean-shaven where respirator use is required
- Reliable transportation required
- Available to work Monday to Friday day shifts, with overtime and occasional weekend work as needed
- Must have or be willing to purchase a set of hand tools, including socket and wrench sets (metric & standard), screwdrivers, pliers, punches & chisels, hammers, calipers, feeler gauges, files, a hacksaw, snap-ring pliers, Allen keys, and a pry bar.
