JOB SUMMARY
The Lighting Control Coordinator will be responsible for designing, commissioning, implementing and maintaining lighting control systems. They will work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that the lighting system meets the clients needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Independently design, commission and maintain lighting power and control systems, data network systems, and related IT infrastructure.
Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that the lighting system meets the clients needs.
Perform necessary calculations to meet requirements for capacity, compliance, and safety.
Troubleshoot and repair lighting control systems as needed.
Provide technical support to clients and colleagues.
Independently perform construction administration/coordination tasks, such as attending site field reviews, document health and safety initiatives, reviewing drawings, and preparing submittals, site instructions, and change directives.
Generate and monitor project financials including quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and budgets.
Attend client meetings, liaise with clients and colleagues.
Stay up to date with industry and technical trends, and technical standards.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing and commissioning lighting control systems.
Strong knowledge of lighting control systems and their components.
Experience working with various manufacturers systems/platform (eg. Acuity, Lutron, Wattstopper, Encelium, etc.)
Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications.
Experience with IT concepts and infrastructure.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Critical thinker and analytical.
Well-developed organizational and time management skills.
