Your future starts now at Empower Simcoe!We are presently accepting resumes for 1 Permanent Part-Time Support Worker to work in our group homes in Barrie.Compensation Package:This position will be assigned to our Permanent Asleep Night line working 7 shifts (up to 42 hours) bi-weekly between the hours of 7pm-7am.Additional hours may be available with a minimum rate of pay of $24.63/hour;11 paid Statutory Holidays;Confidential Employee Assistance program for you and for your immediate family;Following the successful completion of probation:Employer paid health and life insurance; employee/employer paid dental;Employer paid sick time;Vacation hours;Minimum Qualifications:Developmental Service Worker diploma or an acceptable educational equivalency (Child and Youth Worker, Early Childhood Education, Social Service Worker, Nursing, Psychology, Personal Support Worker, etc.) as determined by the employer is required;When submitting your resume and cover letter, please also upload a copy of your diplomas / degrees. In your resume, please ensure that you specify the length of your programs;Ability to work weekends and holidays;Ability to attend team meetings and training as required during daytime hours;A valid class "G" driver's license and own reliable transportation is an asset;Role/Duties:Our Direct Support Workers provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities with all aspects of daily living within a group home setting. Responsibilities may include providing support during overnight shifts, personal care, household duties, meal preparation and finances.
