Estimator - ICI
Our client is a leading General Contracting firm providing construction project management to retail, commercial, and office clients, specializing in the construction renovation of retail and office space. Immediate Opening
- Excellent base compensation, employee bonus plan, and benefits.
- $100K-$120K base depending on experience.
- Annual bonus: 3% to 6% based on company annual performance.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the estimating process runs smoothly and efficiently, and client expectations are exceeded throughout the duration of the project.
- Accountable for reviewing all details to ensure all quotes submitted are complete, accurate, and on-time, capturing all project scope and trades outlined in provided bid materials.
- Review project specifications, including but not limited to RFP, drawings, insurance and bonding requirements, addendums, and specifications to fully understand project scope, trades, and timelines.
- Attend bid site walks to gain a full understanding of project scope and deliverables. Collect on-site data for estimates and take-offs to ensure clear, detailed information comes back to the office for finalized estimates.
- Ensure that drawings and project specifications are sent to subtrades, and subtrades have sufficient time to provide a complete and accurate proposal to the client.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in estimating ICI projects.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex plans and specifications to create accurate estimates.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy while working on multiple estimating projects simultaneously.
- Ability to multi-task to manage own work while overseeing direct reports.
- Proficiency in qualifying subcontractor quotes and negotiating pricing.
- Knowledge of standard construction industry practices, processes, and materials.
- Experience managing direct report(s).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge and proficiency in PlanSwift and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel to job sites within the Greater Toronto Area as required to complete estimates.
