The Opportunity
We are seeking a Contract Field Operator that is highly accountable to join the Mancal Energy Inc. (MEI) field operations team. The contract field operator will be responsible for all aspects of gas and oilfield operations in a safe and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, not limited to:
- Asset Control: Safe operation and care of gas and oilfield production assets.
- Core Operations: Day-to-day operation and monitoring of wells, pipelines, and facilities.
- Technical Tasks: Operating gas wells, field compression, pumping oil wells, pipeline pigging, and plunger lift systems.
- Optimization: Monitoring chemical rates and ensuring equipment meets throughput requirements.
- Data Management: Utilizing EZOPS and ProdView for accurate daily equipment logs and electronic production reporting.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 years of related operating experience
- High school diploma
- Trades or Technical Certification is considered a strong asset
- Valid certification in H2S Alive, First Aid, WHMIS, and TDG
- Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean drivers abstract
- Upstream gas processing and gathering system optimization experience is an asset
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with an ability to shift priorities and complete tasks
- Ability to motivate others in a high-performing, fast-paced work environment
- Takes initiative to create positive change and brings forward new ideas
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, navigate stairs/ladders, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
