Packaging

Job Responsibilities:

• Pile finished product on skid according to pattern on fact sheet.
• Attach label to bundles at end of conveyor belt as required.
• Perform quality checks to ensure quality and quantity, including:
  • Proper seals
  • Legible and accurate date codes
  • Bag weight checks
  • Empty packaging availability according to schedule
• Continually check product for cross-contamination, colour, quality, size, and shape.
• Transport skid to the wrapper and wrap according to fact sheet.
• Perform product and consumables changeover, including:
  • Air blow entire system to avoid contamination
  • Change screens
  • Change rework fibre bags
  • Weigh, record, and wrap
• Set up and change over entire line for next order:
  • Program correct bin to line
  • Program line for correct weight
• Change consumables (shrink wrap, skid wrap, tape machine rolls) as needed.
• Check magnets at changeover and end of shift and report findings.
• Continually monitor line to ensure jam-ups have not occurred.
• Troubleshoot for possible equipment problems.
• Use lifting devices to move and transport materials.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork.
• Perform sanitation duties to ensure work area is clean, tidy, and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Wearing fresh scent (no strong odours) deodorant if needed
