What You'll DoAs a Recreation Aide, you'll help create a vibrant and engaging environment that supports the joy, dignity, and well-being of our residents:Plan and deliver meaningful programs that promote physical, mental, social, and emotional wellness.Support residents in participating in activities that reflect their interests, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.Encourage engagement through one-on-one visits, small groups, and larger events.Collaborate with residents, families, volunteers, and team members to build an inclusive, home-like atmosphere.Contribute to program evaluation and continuous quality improvement.Ensure a safe environment by following all health and safety practices.Assist with transporting residents to and from programs and outings, as needed. What You BringExperience working in the field of recreation of activity programming with seniors and/or individuals with dementia (minimum 1 year)Certificate or diploma in Recreation or Therapeutic Recreation is an asset but not required.A creative, compassionate, and inclusive approach to program delivery.Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).A commitment to fostering wellness, dignity, and joy in the lives of others.
