We are hiring an Electrical Engineer on a contract basis to support a project our client is working on. While this is a project-based contract, there is a possibility of a permanent hire for the right candidate.
Salary:$45-$50/hr based on relevant experience
- Design and develop electrical drawings for electrical systems on marine vessels, including power distribution, local control panels, and single-line diagrams, VFDs and motor controls.
- Produce and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layout drawings using CAD software
- Ensure all designs meet marine standards, customer technical specifications, safety regulations (e.g., SOLAS), and classification society requirements (ABS, Lloyds, DNV)
- Collaborate with project managers, customer technical representatives, and third-party equipment suppliers to support system integration
- Maintain accurate documentation and drawing records throughout the project lifecycle
- Identify and resolve technical issues during design and implementation phases
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
- EIT certification or eligibility
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
