There are full-time and part-time positions available in both disciplines. Compensation Information: $19.85 - $40.85 (based on certification and experience)
Physical Requirement: Medium; work activities involve handling loads up to 20kg; predominantly in an outdoor setting.
This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

This role is eligible for an incentive for successful applicants to receive $1 per hour worked based on completion of a full winter season contract. Conditions apply to this incentive and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.
Skills you bring with you:
- Certification: Current, valid teaching certification in good standing with a recognized national snowsport organization. (e.g., CSIA and CASI, BASI, APSI, or sports school approved national equivalency).
- Legal: Legally authorized to work in Canada for the duration of the winter contract. Willing to clear a criminal record check for the purposes of working with vulnerable sectors/minors.
- Communication: Proficient in English with strong verbal and motivational skills across all guest age groups.
PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:
- Dual or Multi-Snowsport certification (e.g., CSIA and CASI, BASI, APSI, or national equivalency).
- Several seasons of youth-specific teaching experience.
- Second language skills, particularly German or Spanish.
- Prior sales training or extended customer service experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct scheduled group and private lessons across various resort offerings, including Kids Groups, Schools, Locals, Adult Groups/Privates, Instructor Training, Nordic, Freestyle coaching, and Weekly Events, specific to instructor qualifications.
- Report to assigned meeting areas for the start of your scheduled paid shift to welcome guests and ensure lessons commence punctually.
- Assess guest abilities to select appropriate terrain, managing the lesson pace and activities to ensure group safety, comfort, and progression.
- Prioritize guest safety by adhering to resort risk management protocols and the Alpine Responsibility Code.
- Maintain active supervision and care of assigned guests for the full duration of the lesson, ensuring minors are only released to authorized individuals.
- Continually adapt lessons to changing weather, snow conditions, and environmental factors.
- Safely execute core teaching and on-snow responsibilities in all winter weather conditions, meeting the physical demands required of the role.
- Maintain a neat, clean appearance and wear the designated resort uniform and required safety equipment while on duty.
- Deliver high-quality guest service and represent the resort professionally to staff and guests.
- Actively participate in assigned resort training, personal development, and staff meetings during paid working hours.
- Promptly report and document all safety incidents, injuries, or customer service issues according to resort procedures and workplace health and safety protocols.
- Promote Sports School products and guide guests toward future learning pathways or resort programs.
