Senior & Intermediate Interior Designers

Job Description

This full-time, on-site role in Ottawa, ON is for Senior and Intermediate Interior Designers who will contribute to workplace-focused interior design projects from concept through completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing space plans, and producing detailed drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to create efficient, user-centered workplace environments.

• Knowledge of Architecture and construction principles, enabling effective collaboration with multidisciplinary project teams.

• Proficiency in preparing Construction Drawings and technical documentation suitable for permitting, tender, and construction.

• Experience with FF&E selection, specification, and coordination, including finishes, furniture, and fixtures appropriate for commercial interiors.

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; professional registration or eligibility (e.g., ARIDO, IDC or equivalent) is an asset.

• Competence with design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and strong visual presentation skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with clients and project teams.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; prior experience in workplace or commercial interiors is highly beneficial.
