Your RoleAs Facility Assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operation of the facility. This posting may be considered for multiple Facility Assistant levels. At the Facility Assistant III level, responsibilities are broader and include assisting with the achievement of production targets, demonstrating an exceptionally high level of customer service, providing leadership to other Facility Assistants, monitoring safe operating procedures, and maintaining the corresponding documentation.Day to Day

• Contributing to the movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments
• Collecting, testing, and recording grain samples
• Exercising competency in grading commodities including canola, wheat, oats and barley
• Binning and blending of all incoming grain
• Operate machinery with confidence and precision
• Perform basic mathematical calculations to accurately blend fertilizer
• Regular facility maintenance & housekeeping
• Commitment to maintaining a safe & compliant working environment
• Performing exceptional customer service duties
• Other duties as required

Required Qualifications

• 1-3+ years' experience in a general labour job, preferably in agricultural and/or farming
• Class 5 driver's license
• Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
• Ability to work within environment subject to dust and allergens
• Ability to work at heights
• Flexible work schedule
• Knowledge of hydraulic machinery & electrical considered an asset
