Key responsibilities include hiring and training employees, managing inventory, merchandising, resolving customer issues, and driving the department to meet sales targetsKey ResponsibilitiesStaff Leadership: Recruit, schedule, and train department associates. Provide ongoing performance feedback and motivate the team to achieve daily/weekly sales goals.Inventory & Merchandising: Ensure product displays adhere to company visual standards. Conduct regular audits and manage corporate and in-store price changes and promotional effeciencies.Customer Experience: Ensure the team delivers exceptional service to all customers that enter the store. Serve as an escalation point to resolve complex customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.Operational Excellence: Maintain department safety and compliance standards, review performance metrics, and minimize shrink through proper inventory control.Qualifications & SkillsExperience: 1+ years of proven retail sales, merchandising, or supervisory experience.Leadership: Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.Business Acumen: Understanding of retail analytics, Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, and basic budgeting principles.Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift or move heavy merchandise.PS: Priority will be given to applicants with previous experience in retail management environment.Canadian Tire is passionate about the strength of our people.
