Schedule: Monday to Friday, In-Office (5 Days per Week)About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing client in Brampton. This is a full-time, in-office position ideal for someone with strong accounts payable experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the transportation industry is considered a strong asset.Key Responsibilities
- Process high-volume accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Complete intercompany reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Process payroll for company drivers, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Reconcile payroll-related accounts and assist with payroll reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Work closely with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and other accounting duties as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable or Accounting role.
- Experience performing bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
- Experience processing payroll, preferably for drivers or hourly employees.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks is required.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, sorting/filtering, and pivot tables.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Transportation or logistics industry experience is preferred.
