CNC Machinist (Program Setup)

SET UP FROM SCRATCH IS A MUST

Pay range: $35-$40/hour

Requirements:

• Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes, mills, and 5-axis machining centers
  • Work on multiple and complex parts in a high-precision, tight-tolerance environment
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, GDT, and CAD files
  • Program CNC machines using Mastercam software
  • Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met
  • Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other inspection equipment
  • Document work in accordance with AS9100D quality management system requirements
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Show a strong interest in CNC machining and a willingness to learn different machines and processes
  • Familiarity with ISO standards

Qualifications:

• 4 to 6 years of CNC machining experience
• Strong experience programming and operating CNC lathes and mills
• Experience with 5-axis machining is preferred
• Experience with Mastercam software
• Strong understanding of GDT and the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
• Experience working with metal and hard plastic materials
• Familiarity with aerospace quality standards, including AS9100, is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Enthusiastic about CNC machining and open to learning different machines
