The Bilingual Inside Sales Consultant is responsible for generating new business opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships, and supporting revenue growth across a portfolio of industrial and safety-focused manufacturers.
Working remotely, this individual will proactively engage distributors, end users, and internal sales teams to identify opportunities, develop qualified sales pipelines, and support strategic growth initiatives throughout Canada. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, relationship-driven, and comfortable managing a high volume of customer interactions through phone, email, and virtual meetings.
As a key contributor to the sales organization, the Bilingual Inside Sales Consultant will collaborate closely with field sales teams, channel partners, and manufacturer representatives to accelerate opportunity conversion and maximize market penetration.
Responsibilities
Pipeline Development & Opportunity Management
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, lead follow-up, and account development activities.
- Manage and advance opportunities through the sales cycle using Salesforce CRM.
- Conduct regular outreach to end users and distributor partners to uncover new projects and sales opportunities.
- Maintain accurate pipeline visibility, forecasting, and opportunity tracking.
- Execute strategic account penetration plans to increase share of wallet within existing customers.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and bundle solutions from multiple manufacturers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with industrial distributors and channel partners across Canada.
- Partner with distributor sales teams to identify target accounts and growth opportunities.
- Support distributor product awareness and engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with manufacturer partners to align sales activities with strategic objectives.
- Provide timely updates regarding opportunity status, customer feedback, and market intelligence.
- Work closely with Solutions Consultants, Channel Managers, and Sales Leadership to support regional and national growth initiatives.
- Participate in pipeline reviews, sales meetings, and performance discussions.
- Share customer insights, success stories, and market trends with internal stakeholders.
- Support marketing campaigns and lead nurturing programs to improve conversion rates.
- Maintain CRM data integrity by accurately documenting activities, opportunities, and customer interactions.
- Manage daily sales activities, scheduling, and follow-up commitments.
- Participate in manufacturer training programs and product education initiatives.
- Utilize reporting and analytics tools to monitor performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Fully bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).
- Minimum 2 years of inside sales, business development, customer service, or account management experience.
- Experience managing customer interactions via phone, email, and virtual platforms.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills.
- Experience utilizing CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
- Experience selling into industrial, safety, electrical, automation, manufacturing, or MRO markets.
- Familiarity with industrial distribution channels and distributor partnerships.
- Experience supporting national accounts or multi-location customers.
- Exposure to data analytics and reporting platforms such as Power BI.
- Understanding of workplace safety, PPE, industrial maintenance, automation, or productivity solutions.
