Duties Included:
- Identify areas for quality assurance improvement at the source and support implementation of new methods accordingly.
- Monitor process, product, and quality system performance in accordance with the applicable product standard and procedures.
- Determine customer requirements on assigned programs and obtain acceptance and limit samples.
- Responsible for communicating customer requirements and standards within the organization.
- Support all departments in First Article / PPAP data collection and submission, new launch capability studies, as well as any additional support as requested.
- Develop Core Tools documentation (PFMEA, Control Plan, PFD).
- Participate in the APQP process to ensure feasibility of the design and process to produce the product as specified.
- Participate or champion cross-functional team activities, including customer, internal, and supplier corrective and preventive actions.
- Interact with customers and suppliers as required to carry out requirements and expectations.
- Coordinate and participate in dimensional evaluation of parts using appropriate gauges and fixtures.
- Perform tasks on the shop floor that will include:
- Inspection of incoming materials.
- In-process inspection and final goods inspections, ensuring all Code requirements are met and record retention is kept.
- Train operators and quality inspectors to perform in-process and final inspections.
- Maintain and organize calibration of equipment and gauges.
