Calgary-based client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its high-performing Finance team. Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statement note disclosures and support MD&A review.
- Contribute to the month-end close process and ensure general ledger accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare monthly internal financial reporting packages and related analyses.
- Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts, including lease and PP&E continuity schedules.
- Serve as the primary liaison with U.S. Property Tax advisors, ensuring timely and accurate information delivery.
- Analyze and document complex transactions in compliance with IFRS and provide actionable financial insights.
- Support internal controls and audit activities, including internal, external, and tax audits, while responding to ad hoc financial requests.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a CPA (or equivalent professional designation) required.
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience; experience with Oracle NetSuite and/or Hyperion is considered an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and adapt effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working across all levels of the organization.
