Grounds Maintenance (Greely)

D&G Landscaping is a commercial landscaping and heavy civil construction company based in Greely, Ontario. We are proud to have worked on some of the largest landscape construction projects in our nation's capital.Our projects include Parliament (West Block & Centre Block), Lansdowne Park, Rideau Street, Elgin Street, multiple OLRT Stations to name just a few.

We're looking for groundskeepers to join our team in the early spring (April) - If you have any kind of landscape or grounds keeping experience and you're looking for a great opportunity to join a growing organization; this could be a great role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mow lawns, trim edges, and maintain grass areas using landscaping equipment
• Plant, water, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and other plants
• Remove weeds, leaves, debris, and litter from landscaped areas
• Apply mulch, fertilizers, and other soil treatments as needed
• Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hedge cutters
• Assist with seasonal duties such as leaf removal, tree wrapping, tree un-wrapping, etc.
  
• Follow safety procedures and proper equipment handling guidelines
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to complete landscaping projects

Qualifications / Skills:

• Basic knowledge of landscaping or grounds maintenance preferred
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain neat outdoor spaces
• Good teamwork and communication skills
