Finisher (PM shift)

HAYDEN Diamond Bit Industries Ltd. specializes in the design, manufacture and distribution of diamond coring bits and other diamond products for the worlds mining and exploration industry.

We are seeking candidates for Finisher position in Richmond, BC.

Job descriptions:

• Execute finishing operations according to works orders and ensure that all duties and tasks are performed according to safety and quality standards and SOPs.

• Operate bench grinding and drilling machines to remove residual material to prepare the bit for sandblasting.

• Responsible for operating the sandblasting machine to sandblast bits to Works Orders finishing specifications.

• File off excess residual carbon material to prepare the bit for finishing.

• Perform manual torque test before preparing the bit for painting.

• Perform housekeeping, tools cleaning tasks and routine maintenance work as assigned.

• Assist in any other tasks assigned in the production area including helping to shrink wrap skits and boxes for shipment.

Job Requirements:

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment settings preferred.
  
• Competent in the English language and able to communicate efficiently.
• Must be able to lift/move weights up to 22 KG.
• Basic computer abilities. Able to use computer to record data.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintain high-quality standards
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and provide constructive feedback
• Good eyesight and steady hands.
• Able to work flexible shifts.
• Must not be allergic to dust, graphite or metal compounds.
• Able to work standing for the duration of the 8 hours shift.
  
• Able to work in a team.
• Must have legal working status in Canada.
  

Shift: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
