About the Opportunity
TheSeniorWriter,Proposals and Impact Reportingis a creativeandanalyticrole focused onresearching anddeveloping high-quality, donor-centered proposalsand stewardshipreportsthat inspire philanthropic investmentin the Jewish community.
Collaborating withfundraising, marketing, and planningdepartments, this roleis responsible fortranslating compleximpactdataand storiesintovisually compelling, persuasive proposals and reportstailored to UJAs donors and the Greater Toronto Jewish Foundations fundholders.Reporting to the Associate Director, Content Operations, the SeniorWriterstrengthens stewardship practices by delivering thoughtful, data-informed reporting that deepens donorand fundholderrelationships and trust.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead theresearch, writing, and designof compelling proposals and stewardship reports aligned with donor and fundholder priorities
- Manage the full proposaland reportlifecycle, including briefing, content development, design execution, review cycles, and final delivery
- Research and translate complex program data and community impact stories into clear, persuasive narratives
- Partner with fundraising and planning teams toidentifyproposal opportunities aligned with donors philanthropic priorities and community needs
- Collaboratewithplanningstaff to gather impact information and ensure accuracy
- Create andmaintaintemplates, design standards, and messaging to elevate consistency and quality across all proposal materials
- Support the continuous improvement of proposal and stewardship report writingbyregularlyidentifyingopportunities for efficiencyand deeper donor engagement
- Ensure all materials reflect UJAs mission, values, and brand
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience inproposal writing, grant writing, or fundraising communications, or arelatedfield
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with strong attention to clarity, tone, and impact
- Demonstratedexperienceworking with data and translating it into insights
- Proficiencyin tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design platforms is an asset
- Relevant post-secondary education in communications, journalism, non-profit management, public administration or marketing, or equivalent experience
*This is a full-time permanent position. Union Level 6. Salary range: $79,00-$89,000 annually, based on experience. At UJA we support a flexible work schedule and all of our employees engage in hybrid work. In addition to a rich time off policy, UJAs offices are closed on all Jewish holy days (yom tov) and we support early office closures to observe the Jewish Sabbath (Shabbat).
