General Labourer

SP Pump & Tanks Ltd. is one of Vancouver Island's fastest-growing septic, sewer pump, and wastewater service companies. We provide residential, commercial, and municipal services including septic maintenance, sewer pump repairs, drain jetting, mini-excavation, inspections, and emergency response.
We're looking for a hardworking, dependable General Labourer who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, learning new skills, and being part of a team that takes pride in delivering quality work.
Responsibilities
• Assist technicians with septic tank pumping and maintenance
• Load, unload, clean, and maintain tools and equipment
• Assist with sewer pump installations and repairs
• Support mini-excavation and trenching projects
• Dig, lift, carry materials, and prepare job sites
• Assist with drain cleaning and hydro jetting operations
• Complete daily vehicle and equipment inspections
• Maintain clean and safe work sites
• Follow all company safety policies and WorkSafeBC regulations
• Provide professional customer service while working on-site
• Perform other general labour duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
• Valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence
• Clean driver's abstract
• Ability to regularly lift and carry 50+ lbs
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Willingness to learn and follow direction
Preferred
• Air Brake Endorsement
• Experience operating equipment or trailers
• Previous construction, plumbing, excavation, septic, or general labour experience
• First Aid Certification
• Equipment operating experience is an asset

Physical Requirements
• Lift and carry 50 lbs or more on a regular basis
• Bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday
• Work around wastewater systems and excavation sites
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Work safely in changing weather conditions
