THE ROLE
Our client is a rapidly growing Vancouver-based advisory firm that partners with public and private organizations to build trust in their processes, technology, and data. With a strong reputation for innovation and significant investment in AI-enabled assurance, they provide technology risk, IT audit, internal audit, and advisory services to an impressive portfolio of clients across a variety of industries.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Manager, Technology Risk & Advisory to their collaborative and entrepreneurial team.
As the Manager, Technology Risk & Advisory, you will lead client engagements across IT audit, technology risk, internal controls, SOC reporting, and advisory services. Working closely with clients and internal leadership, you'll manage projects from planning through delivery while mentoring team members and helping shape the firm's growing technology risk practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead IT audit, technology risk, SOC reporting, internal audit, and ICFR/SOX engagements across a diverse client portfolio.
- Review engagement planning, testing, workpapers, and client deliverables to ensure high-quality, risk-focused outcomes.
- Manage multiple engagements, including budgets, timelines, staffing, and client expectations.
- Evaluate technology and business control environments, identifying risks and delivering practical recommendations.
- Present findings and strategic advice to senior client stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
- Contribute to practice development through AI, automation, data analytics, and innovative service offerings.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in IT Audit, Technology Risk, Internal Audit, Cybersecurity, or a related advisory environment.
- CPA, CISA, CIA, CISSP, CRISC, or an equivalent professional designation.
- Strong knowledge of IT General Controls (ITGCs), SOC 1/SOC 2, ICFR, SOX, NI 52-109, and governance frameworks such as COBIT, COSO, ISO 27001, or NIST.
- Proven experience leading client engagements, reviewing work, managing projects, and developing team members.
- Strong communication, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Passion for technology, innovation, AI, automation, and continuous improvement.
