Are you looking for more than just another Controller role?
Our client has launched a brand-new manufacturing facility in Mississauga and is seeking a Manufacturing Controller to play a key leadership role in the plant's success. Backed by a well-established private equity group, the organization is investing heavily in its operations, systems, and future growth.
This is an opportunity to be part of something from the ground up. You'll work closely with the Plant Manager and senior leadership to build processes, improve financial performance, and provide the insights that drive operational decisions. If you enjoy partnering with operations and influencing the direction of a manufacturing business, this role offers the visibility and impact you're looking for.
What You'll Do
As the Manufacturing Controller, you'll oversee all financial activities for the plant while serving as a strategic partner to operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations
Managing standard costing, inventory accounting, BOMs, COGS, and manufacturing cost analysis
Monitoring inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and variance reporting
Partnering with operations to improve productivity, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives
Preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support business planning
Analyzing production performance, labour, material, and overhead costs to identify opportunities for improvement
Developing meaningful KPIs and operational reporting for plant leadership
Supporting ERP enhancements and finance process improvements
Managing capital expenditures, fixed assets, and financial controls
Ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements
What You Bring
CPA designation
Minimum five years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance or plant accounting
Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, cost analysis, and manufacturing operations
Experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
Ability to translate financial information into actionable insights for operational leaders
Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach
Food manufacturing experience is considered a strong asset
Why You'll Want This Opportunity
Join a newly established manufacturing facility with significant investment and long-term growth plans
Be a key member of the plant leadership team with direct influence on business decisions
Opportunity to build and improve financial processes rather than simply maintain them
Work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment where your ideas are valued
Competitive compensation of $140,000–$170,000, bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits
If you're a manufacturing finance professional who enjoys partnering with operations, driving continuous improvement, and making a measurable impact, we'd love to hear from you.
