What You'll Do
As a member of our home care team, you will provide personalized support that helps clients maintain their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities include:
- Personal care and hygiene assistance
- Medication reminders and assistance
- Meal planning and preparation
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Grocery shopping and errands
- Mobility and transfer assistance
- Accompanying clients to appointments and community outings
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Following individualized care plans
- Completing documentation and charting
Required:
- Fluent Cantonese and conversational English
- Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent training (including foreign-trained nurses and nursing students)
- Alberta HCA Registration
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel within Calgary and surrounding areas
- Smartphone and internet access
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and a compassionate approach to care

Frequently Asked Questions
This is a part-time position based in Calgary, AB.
Cantonese speaking is required, in addition to excellent English.
Shifts range from 4 to 12 hours, with flexible scheduling and you can select your own shifts.
Responsibilities include personal care and hygiene, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, medication reminders, ambulation and transporting clients, and following care plans.
An HCA certificate or equivalent, registered HCA in Alberta, current CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain, negative TB test or chest X-ray, ability to travel, and Cantonese speaking with excellent English.
