Position: Retail Sales Representative/Merchandiser

Region: St. John's, Newfoundland

Reports To: Sales Manager

Anticipated Start Date: May 15, 2022

The Retail Sales Representative is responsible for providing excellent customer service to all accounts in their specified territory. In addition, gathering field information and representing our clients in a professional and courteous manner is vital to the success of this position.

• To make store visits to new and existing retailers
• To provide store-level support on new product launches and initiatives
• To perform store audit checks
• To manage retail distributors and pre-sell feature activity and track featured activity
• Manage shelf space and location of products
• Build rapport at store and head office level
• To participate at various distributor and food-related trade shows

• Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with a strong command of the English language
• Have excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Have excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Have excellent presentation skills - in both the boardroom and kitchen
• Be a self-starter and able to work independently
• Must have a valid driver’s license

• Candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job
• Work may be performed in an office, warehouse, or restaurant environment
• Stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb
• May have possible exposure to dust and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds
• Flexible work hours to accommodate demands of the position (some weekends included)
• May require travel up to 80% of the time within the territory, and overnights may be required
