About the Role
Woodbridge Pallet is looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to support our day-to-day maintenance and repair operations on our afternoon shift. This role is a great entry point for someone looking to build a career as a Maintenance Mechanic or working toward a skilled trade in maintenance. This role is for a current vacancy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with general maintenance and repairs of equipment, tools, and machinery
- Support preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime
- Perform basic repairs (carpentry, minor mechanical work, general upkeep)
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility
- Assist with equipment inspections and report issues to the Maintenance Team Lead
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous maintenance, labour, or warehouse experience preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual tasks
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Reliable attendance and punctuality and willingness to learn and take direction are essential
- Forklift license an asset
