About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Department Leader -Speech-Language Services, this position is responsible for all aspects of caseload management using clinically accepted procedures to assess, plan and carry out speech-language programs either directly or through training caregivers and support staff. The S-LP works collaboratively with childrens families and other professionals (including OT, PT, Infant & Child Development Consultants, Key workers and more) to determine the best array and intensity of services for children based on the goals of their families.Positions may be based ineither of our two locations (Abbotsford, Chilliwack) withpossible travelto adjacent communities we serve (e.g.Mission, Hope). Our S-LPs work in homes, community settings, private schools and in our offices delivering services to a wide range of children and youth aged birth to 18 years across several FVCDC programs.

Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Preference will be given to candidate with previous experience working with children and youth.
- Previous experience working in a public or private schools and indigenous communities is an asset.
- Access to a reliable vehicle and a class 5 driver's license.

- Effective and professional written and oral communication, including strong listening skills.
- Exhibited aptitude in time management, task prioritization and organization
- Strong understanding of child development and the impact of diverse abilities on development.
- Demonstrated knowledge of family centered practice and relationship-based interventions.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Physical ability to perform duties of the position

Travel Requirements
This position involves travel throughout the Fraser Valley to provide services in homes, childcare settings, community locations and FVCDC offices. Work-related travel time and mileage are reimbursed in accordance with Centre policies.
