Description

Our client is looking for a driven Logistics Sales Representative to help grow our client's presence across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and the broader Maritime region.

This is a true business development role where you'll identify new opportunities, build lasting customer relationships, and deliver transportation solutions that help businesses succeed. You'll play a key role in expanding the company's East Coast customer base by prospecting, networking, and closing new business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Prospect, develop, and secure new business opportunities throughout New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and the Maritime region.

  • Generate qualified leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, market research, and face-to-face customer visits.

  • Meet with prospective clients to understand their transportation, warehousing, and logistics requirements.

  • Promote a full range of freight solutions, including domestic and international shipping, LTL, dry van, flat deck, expedited, hot shot, and time-sensitive transportation services.

  • Build relationships with customers across manufacturing, industrial, mining, energy, refinery, construction, distribution, and other freight-intensive industries.

  • Prepare competitive pricing, quotes, and customized transportation solutions.

  • Analyze customer freight lanes, equipment requirements, service expectations, and cost considerations.

  • Maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.

  • Partner closely with operations, customer service, warehouse, and leadership teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

  • Represent the company professionally at customer meetings, networking events, and industry functions.

  • Travel throughout the Maritime region to develop new business and strengthen customer relationships.

  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented culture while supporting the continued growth of the East Coast operation.

What You Must Have

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum one year of experience in transportation, logistics, freight forwarding, or a related industry.

  • Previous sales experience within transportation, logistics, trucking, freight forwarding, 3PL, courier, warehousing, or expedited freight.

  • Minimum one year of transportation pricing experience.

  • Strong understanding of freight lanes, transportation equipment, customer requirements, and industry terminology.

  • Demonstrated success in prospecting, cold calling, and developing new business opportunities.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Strong written communication and professional email skills.

  • Proven problem-solving ability with a customer-focused approach.

  • Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to adapt and perform in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate across departments.

Bonus points if you have:

  • An existing network or book of business within the Maritime transportation market.

  • Experience selling expedited, hot shot, industrial, mining, refinery, or time-sensitive freight services.

  • Knowledge of cross-border freight between Canada and the United States.

  • Established relationships throughout Atlantic Canada's transportation and logistics sector.

  • Experience working in a smaller, entrepreneurial, or growth-focused organization.
