Materials Technician (Receiving)

The Materials Technician (Receiving) supports the efficient flow of materials into and within the facility. This roleis responsible forreceiving, inspecting, and accurately recording incoming materials,maintainingorganized inventory, and supporting internal teams inlocatingrequired items. The position alsoassistswith outbound shipments and helps ensure inventory accuracy within the material management system.

Receiving & Inventory

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders

• Accurately enter receiving data into the inventory management systemin a timely manner

• Identifyand report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials

• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock level monitoring

Warehouse Operations

• Safely load, unload, and move materials usingappropriate equipment

• Store materials in designated locations or project bins

• Label materials clearly for job, project, or sales requirements

• Pick and stage materials for production and customer orders

• Assistin kitting materials for production needs

Shipping & Coordination

• Assistwith shipping materials to vendors, customers, or other locations asrequired

• Coordinate returns and ensure proper documentation is completed

• Track deliveries to confirm orders are received as expected

General

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Support internal teams inlocatingrequired materials

• Perform other duties asrequired

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previousexperience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations preferred

• Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment

• Experience using inventory management systems

• Experience handling steel, pipe, or industrial materials is an asset

• Background in manufacturing, electrical, instrumentation, or oil and gas environments is an asset

PHYSICAL & WORKING CONDITIONS

• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting

• Work performed in a warehouse/shop environment with exposure to noise and varying temperatures
