Are you an experienced manufacturing leader who enjoys being on the production floor, developing teams, and driving operational performance?We're looking for a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a team of approximately 20-30 production employees during our permanent midnight shift. This role is ideal for someone with a strong machining or manufacturing background who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 20-30 production employees.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Plan and coordinate daily production activities to meet quality, productivity, and delivery targets.
- Monitor shift performance and address production issues to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Conduct daily production floor walk-throughs and communicate key updates during shift handovers.
- Complete layered process audits, safety inspections, and participate in corrective action initiatives.
- Work closely with Quality and Set-Up Technicians to ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Ensure all production documentation, inspection reports, travellers, count sheets, and 5S documentation are accurate and complete.
- Coordinate the movement of materials, packaging, and finished products throughout production.
- Support employee training, performance management, and ongoing development.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment.
- Assist with material handling and other production support activities as required.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing or CNC machining environment.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience leading teams of 15-20+ employees.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold employees accountable.
- Experience working in a fast-paced production environment focused on quality and productivity.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Working knowledge of GD&T.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, vernier calipers, and dial indicators.
- Forklift certification or previous forklift operating experience.
- Experience with CNC transfer machines or machining operations is considered a strong asset.
- Canadian Permanent Residency or Canadian Citizenship.
- A valid Ontario Class G driver's license.
- A clean driving record.
- The ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
- A College Diploma (technical diploma or apprenticeship is considered an asset).
- Total compensation of approximately $83,000-$85,000+ (including overtime)
