Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and programming of advanced PLC and HMI solutions for automated machinery.
  • Interpret complex electrical drawings and mechanical sequences to craft effective logic and flow diagrams for program design.
  • Execute comprehensive programming, simulation, testing, and start-up procedures, ensuring seamless system integration.
  • Act as the primary technical lead for programming initiatives, providing expertise and guidance.
  • Drive troubleshooting and debugging efforts to resolve complex control system issues efficiently.
  • Develop and implement standard engineering practices, providing meticulous documentation upon project completion.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of programming methodologies and automation strategies.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in PLC and HMI programming within the industrial automation sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in PLC ladder logic, text-based logic programs, and industrial electrical principles.
  • Proficiency in programming automation and robotics equipment; prior experience with Omron and AB systems is a valuable asset.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, and develop logical program designs.
  • Exceptional debugging and troubleshooting capabilities for automated systems.
  • Proven capacity to manage multiple projects, meet critical deadlines, and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within North America for project start-ups and support.
