Job Description:
Our client is looking for a qualified and energetic AZ Steering Dolly driver out of Milton, ON for local deliveries for bridge construction.
Job Details:
- Operating a steering dolly to haul bridge pieces
- Operating flatbeds hauling structural steel, rebar, coils, and oversized loads
- Monday to Friday, Day shift
- Steering dolly runs are typically at night
- City and Local Highway, home every night
- Drivers will be responsible for load securement - strapping, chaining, and occasional tarping
Pay Rate:
- For regular flatbed loads - $31.50/hr
- For Steering Dolly loads - $43.97/hr
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of verifiable AZ Commercial driving experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience hauling AZ flatbed loads
- A minimum of 1 year of experience operating a steering dolly
- Experience hauling steel preferred but not necessary
- Clean abstract and CVOR
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Customer service oriented - pleasant, friendly demeanor
- Punctuality, work ethic, and willingness to learn are all key personality traits
- Knowledge and adherence to safety regulations
