The company is looking to hire permanently. In Mitchell, we have a 2-year development plan for this role. Once hired permanently, the candidate would be looking at a grow-in rate of $28.00/hr., provided they meet competency requirements after 24 months.
Job Description- Ensures that proper machine lockouts are performed on equipment.
- Perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks in welding and carpentry.
- Cut, shape, and fit materials to create parts and components for moulds.
- Assemble mould components using methods such as screwing, welding, or other appropriate techniques to form the final mould.
- Determine the optimal method and sequence of tasks to complete assigned work efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure that setups align with shop drawings and written instructions.
- Fabricate moulds in accordance with specified guidelines and tolerances.
- Report material requirements to the Plant Manager or Production Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Read/interpret drawings, sketches, and other construction documents.
- Work in a team environment.
- Operate various hand, power, and mechanical equipment.
- Weld with Mig or Arc.
- Ability to use basic arithmetic.
- Ability to measure in metric units and imperial units.
- Ability to rig, hoist, and move materials/moulds to areas within the plant.
- Perform tasks independently and in a team environment.
- Proactive thinker and self-starter.
