Are you passionate about food quality and safety? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where attention to detail makes a real difference?
We're looking for a QA/QC Technician to join a growing food manufacturing team in Mississauga. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining the highest quality and food safety standards while supporting the production of high-quality dairy products.
What You'll Do
- Perform quality inspections, sampling, and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished products
- Conduct laboratory testing, including pH analysis
- Monitor production to ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, and food safety standards
- Complete routine production line inspections and quality checks
- Verify product weights, labels, sanitation practices, and allergen controls
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and laboratory records
- Assist with product release activities and retain sample management
- Support internal and external food safety audits
- Maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment
- Promote workplace safety and quality throughout the facility
What We're Looking For
- Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Dairy Technology, or a related field
- Previous QA/QC experience in food or dairy manufacturing preferred
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SQF/BRC, and food safety regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs
- Comfortable working in both warm production and refrigerated storage environments
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
