Position Summary
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and professional Health Care Aides to join our growing team in Lethbridge. The successful candidate will provide personal care and daily living assistance to seniors while promoting dignity, independence, safety, and overall wellness.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living.
- Support mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation as required.
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, hydration, and nutrition monitoring.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry related to client care.
- Observe and report changes in clients' physical, emotional, or cognitive condition.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
- Follow individualized care plans and organizational policies.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for clients and families.
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, supervisors, and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide, Continuing Care Assistant, or equivalent program.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience supporting seniors is considered an asset.
