We are currently seeking Security professionals to work with a high-profile transportation client. As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our client's passengers, employees, and assets. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct frequent interior and exterior surveillance, perform access control duties and direct pedestrian traffic as required.
  • Provide customer services, including on-board assistance when required, responding to radio calls, and maintain courteous and professional relationships with employees, tenants, and passengers.
  • Detect unauthorized persons on-site.
  • Enforce all applicable rules and regulations.
  • Conduct spot checks of vehicles or hand-carried items by visitors or employees when requested.
  • Respond to emergencies including implementing guidelines and assisting in fire prevention and health and safety measures.
  • Ensure order during train arrivals and departures including facilitating passenger boarding, and disembarking, and restricting access to train shelters/platforms.
  • Maintain order during building evacuations, assemblies, or accidents and enforce safety measures during inclement weather, fires, or incidents.
  • Direct and assist contractors assigned by the site in the absence of building services representatives.
  • Escort emergency vehicles and provide a first aid response if necessary.
  • Complete daily shift reports and incident reports, adhering to confidentiality guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard license and First Aid CPR
  • Strong communication skills
  • 1 year experience in Security, preferably in high end commercial towers, hospital, college, retail, public buildings etc.
  • Proficiency with different types of fire extinguisher and other fire protection equipment, and familiarity with detection and alarm systems.
  • Knowledge of Canada Criminal Code and 494(c)
  • Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
  • Ability to stand or walk for long period up to 12 hours.
  • College Diploma or University Degree in Police Foundations, Law enforcement or equivalent is an asset.
  • Use of Force, Management of Resistive Behavior is an asset.
  • Bilingual communication skills (both English and French) is an asset.
