Dishwasher & Salad Prep Assistant

Position Summary
Amedeo's Italian Bistro is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and team-oriented Dishwasher & Salad Prep Assistant to join our kitchen team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized kitchen while assisting with the preparation of fresh salads and basic food preparation tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Dishwashing & Cleaning

• Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen.
• Empty garbage and recycling containers as needed.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
• Assist with closing and deep-cleaning duties.

Salad & Food Preparation

• Prepare fresh salads, vegetables, and garnishes according to restaurant standards.
• Wash, peel, chop, and portion ingredients.
• Ensure all prep items are properly labeled and stored.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Assist cooks and chefs with basic food preparation as required.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant experience is an asset but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
