CNC Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC machines including mills and lathes according to production schedules and work orders.
• Perform basic machine setups and tool changes under supervision.
• Read and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to complete in-process inspections.
• Monitor machine operation and make minor adjustments as needed to maintain part quality.
• Report machine issues, malfunctions, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
• Complete production and inspection documentation accurately.
• Support routine machine maintenance and keep work areas clean and organized.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting during production as needed.
• Handle documentation, shipping, and packing.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CNC certification or technical training is considered an asset.
• Previous experience in a machine shop or CNC environment is an asset.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 standards is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Experience with aerospace parts.
