Duties Include:

  • Provide detailed billing breakdowns.
  • Preparation of project schedules, including coordination with shop fabrication and erection schedule.
  • Coordination of approval, shop fabrication, and erection drawings.
  • Clear communication skills with engineers, architects, and general contractors.
  • Monitor and maintain project construction schedule on time and on budget.
  • Coordination of all CCNs, COs, and site instructions, including detailed quotes and breakdowns.
  • Issue monthly progress draw invoices to general contractors.
  • Maintain and enforce cost-effective shop and erection assembly practices with drafting.
  • Meet erectors on-site to discuss any fit-up issues or erection sequences, including all miscellaneous metal.
  • Coordinate with erectors/installation forces for all deficiency work.
  • Meet with the management team twice a month at production meetings to discuss ongoing work on hand.
  • Prepare material order lists to be given to the steel purchaser.
  • Maintain continuous communication with drafting and the shop foreman. Clear communication is key.
  • Recognize any changes and communicate them to project managers and estimators.
  • Perform all site measurements.

Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and some experience in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, SDS).
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Expert knowledge of fabrication practices.
