BIM Coordinator
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to join our team and support coordinated, fabrication-ready model development across mechanical and electrical trades. The ideal candidate brings strong technical modeling skills, hands-on coordination experience, and the communication ability to work effectively across project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain BIM/VDC models throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and consistency across disciplines
- Lead and participate in clash detection and coordination efforts using Navisworks
- Develop and oversee fabrication-level detailing for mechanical or electrical systems
- Coordinate models and drawings using Revit and SysQue (or equivalent fabrication tools)
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to resolve coordination issues
- Track model progress, maintain documentation standards, and support quality control processes
- Communicate coordination updates, conflicts, and resolutions clearly to internal and external stakeholders
- Support project scheduling and deliverables by maintaining organized, up-to-date model data
Requirements
- 3–5 years of BIM/VDC or coordination experience in the mechanical or electrical trades
- Demonstrated model management skills
- Familiarity with fabrication-level detailing
- Coordination experience using tools such as Revit, Navisworks, and SysQue
- Solid communication and organizational abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly with mechanical or electrical fabrication teams
- Familiarity with construction coordination workflows and clash resolution processes
- Ability to manage multiple project models and deadlines simultaneously
