Senior Architectural Technologist

The firm is a small, progressive, and well-respected midtown Toronto architecture firm specializing in high-performance, environmentally conscious projects. They use an inclusive, collaborative design process to create beautiful, sustainable buildings, and they've built a reputation among clients, consultants, and builders for being great to work with, being hands-on, detail-driven, and delivering a sensitive solution to every design challenge.

Why is this role open:

The company is looking to augment their team with a technologist who loves to model and draw, takes ownership of their work, and wants to be a long-term part of the firm. Initially this will be a support role where you don't need to lead their production on day one, but there is a clear path to grow into a lead position over time for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Drawing production: Work quickly and accurately to help the team hit deadlines, while improving and maintaining drawing consistency and quality standards across multiple projects. Coordination with consultants.

Must-haves:

• Advanced Revit experience
• Experience producing drawings for custom homes / high-end residential
• Experience with high-performance buildings
• Construction drawing preparation and coordination experience
• Minimum 5 years in an architectural office in Canada
• Excellent working knowledge of the OBC
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to multi-task and coordinate across several projects at once

Nice-to-haves:

• A sustainability certification such as Passive House (CPHD), or working knowledge of NetZero, Carbon Neutral, or LEED
• The drive and ability to eventually step into the production lead role.
