Shipping/ General Labourer

Position: Shipping / General Aide

This position supports plant, warehouse, shipping, and general labour duties. The role is approximately 90% shipping/general labour and 10% forklift operation, depending on daily needs.

Responsibilities:

• Load and unload packages, skids, finished goods, and raw materials.
• Handle loose sheets, boxes of finished goods, and pails of manufactured product.
• Use lifting aids when required.
• Operate Class 4 forklift (IC engine with cushion tires).
• Shear materials to required sizes based on work orders.
• Deburr materials as required.
• Package finished products.
• Process work orders and shipping documentation once trained.
• Grease materials for operators.
• Assist with general machine maintenance.
• Organize and store materials properly.
• Clean and organize the plant and work area.
• Stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the full shift.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 4 forklift certification required.
• Must be comfortable lifting up to 60 lbs and able to work the full shift on feet.
• Warehouse, shipping, or general labour experience considered an asset.
• No specific experience required; training provided.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
• Comfortable working in a loud plant/production environment.

PPE Requirements:

• Candidate must provide their own safety boots and hearing protection.
• All other PPE supplied by the company.
