This role islocated 100% on-site at our Edmonton office.
Summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, Electronics Technician is responsible for hands-on fabrication, assembly, testing, and repair of prototype and production electronic and mechanical systems that help bring G2Vs quality products to life.
Primary Responsibilities
- Inspection and calibration of LED populated PCBs.
- Fabricate and assemble optical and electronic products according to company specification, including soldering, assembling, testing, debugging and validation
- Mechanical assembly and modification of optical and electrical prototypes and products
- Properly document design and fabrication parameters according to G2Vs quality management standards
- Be an advocate for continuous improvement and process development within your relevant area
- Work with other team members to ensure customer deliverables remain on schedule
- Special projects as assigned
Target Skills & Qualifications
The successful candidate should be prepared for an ever-changing set of challenges, and willing to quickly adjust priorities and tasks to make forward progress in addition to:
- 6+ months experience in hands-on electronics assembly, including use of power supplies, multimeters, spectrometers, etc.
- 6+ months experience mechanical and electrical assembly, including hand tools, Programming experience in Python considered a strong asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with user interfaces, circuit design, and LED lighting products is considered an asset
- Interest and awareness around sustainability
