Lisa Gozlan Jewelry is seeking a passionate and customer-focused Floor Manager to oversee the daily operations of our sales floor at our Vancouver location.
The Floor Manager plays a critical leadership role in delivering an exceptional luxury retail experience while ensuring the seamless execution of daily boutique operations. As a key member of the management team, the Floor Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, cultivating a client-centric culture, maintaining operational excellence, and leading a high-performing sales team. This individual serves as a brand ambassador, ensuring every aspect of the boutique reflects the brand's values, standards, and commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
General tasks include but are not limited to:
Operations & Boutique Management
- Oversee the daily operation of the showroom, ensuring all opening and closing procedures are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, security protocols, and operational standards.
- Monitor daily floor activity to ensure a seamless and elevated client experience throughout all business hours.
- Partner with inventory and operations teams to support stock counts, inventory accuracy, merchandise transfers, and product receiving procedures.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and organized work environment while adhering to loss prevention, and health and safety practices.
- Support the execution of corporate initiatives, promotions, events, and operational projects.
Client Experience & Customer Service
- Champion a culture of exceptional client service by ensuring every guest receives a personalized and memorable luxury shopping experience.
- Actively engage with clients on the sales floor, providing support during consultations and high-value transactions when required.
- Ensure team members consistently deliver service that reflects the brand's standards of hospitality, expertise, and professionalism.
- Anticipate client needs and proactively identify opportunities to enhance the customer journey.
- Address and resolve client concerns, complaints, and service recovery situations with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
- Build and foster long-term client relationships that drive loyalty, repeat business, and referrals.
- Monitor customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve overall client satisfaction.
Sales Leadership & Business Performance
- Drive achievement of individual, team, and showroom sales targets through active leadership and floor management.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, including conversion rates, average transaction value, units per transaction, and client retention.
- Provide real-time sales coaching and support to maximize selling opportunities and improve conversion.
- Lead by example through active participation in the selling process and consistent achievement of personal sales goals when applicable.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue through cross-selling, upselling, client outreach, and clienteling initiatives.
- Support the execution of sales strategies, promotional activities, and product launches.
- Analyze daily sales results and provide insights and recommendations to store leadership.
- Ensure team members are knowledgeable about product collections, services, and current business priorities.
Team Leadership & Development
- Inspire, motivate, and lead the sales team to achieve exceptional results while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to support employee growth and development.
- Conduct regular floor observations and deliver constructive feedback focused on selling behaviors, service standards, and operational execution.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members.
- Support performance management initiatives, including goal setting, development plans, and recognition programs.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Promote employee engagement by recognizing achievements and celebrating team successes.
- Serve as a trusted resource and role model for all boutique associates.
Visual Merchandising & Brand Presentation
- Ensure the showroom consistently reflects the brand's luxury image and visual merchandising standards.
- Monitor product presentation and display execution to maintain a polished and inviting showroom environment.
- Ensure showcases, displays, and product presentations remain clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the day.
- Partner with leadership to execute seasonal visual merchandising updates, marketing assets, product launches, and promotional displays.
- Conduct regular floor walks to identify and address presentation opportunities.
- Uphold impeccable housekeeping standards throughout all customer-facing and back-of-house areas.
Product Knowledge & Brand Ambassador Responsibilities
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the Lisa Gozlan brand and products
- Stay informed about new product launches, style trends, competitors, and market developments.
- Educate and inspire team members through ongoing product knowledge sharing and selling techniques.
- Represent the brand with professionalism, integrity, and confidence at all times.
- Ensure all client interactions reflect the brand's values, heritage, and commitment to exceptional quality and service.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail management or supervisory experience (jewelry or luxury retail experience preferred).
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach a team to achieve sales goals.
- Strong business acumen and confidence in driving purchasing decisions through client-focused interactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Passion for jewelry, fashion, and styling, with the desire to develop extensive product knowledge.
- Reliable, professional, and proactive team player with a positive, engaging presence on the sales floor.
- Comfortable using retail technology systems (POS, scheduling platforms, etc.).
- Flexible schedule with availability for evenings, weekends, and retail holidays.
