Maintenance Technician--Days

Job Description:

Reporting to the Operations Manager and Maintenance Team Lead, the responsibilities include:

• Set up and troubleshoot packaging machines and lines.
• Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.
• Adjust machine components, machine tension, and pressure according to the size or processing angle of the product.
• Regulate machine flow or speed.
• Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a Supervisor.
• Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
• Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment, such as opening valves or setting guides.
• Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or glue that isn't sticking properly.
• Perform preventative maintenance on packaging lines as the schedule requires.
• Repair areas in the facility that require attention as per work orders.
• Train Packaging Equipment Operators.
• Assist with production on lines as required.
• Able to source and order parts through an online maintenance program.
• Other duties as assigned.
