Cascadia Metals is actively seeking candidates for the position of General Labourer, to work at our Calgary branch. This role involves the packaging of orders, building skids, general housekeeping, etc. This position does NOT require experience. However, preference will be given to those with warehousing and steel experience. Forklift experience is preferred but not mandatory

Responsibilities:

• Package pipe into bundles using a bander and metal wire
• Operate a forklift to move material within the warehouse and yard
• Building wood pallets using nail gun
• Transfer steel pipe from one skid to another manually
• Count pieces for order fulfilment and complete order paperwork
• General material handling and housekeeping

Requirements:

• Must be reliable and punctual
• Steel handling and/or warehouse experience preferred but not mandatory
• Forklift experience preferred but not mandatory
• Flexibility; able to multi-task and work as part of a team
• Able to read orders and complete basic paperwork
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds
