We are currently seeking an Estimator / Project Coordinator to join our Saskatoon team.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong manufacturing, machining, welding, or fabrication background who wants to apply their technical knowledge in an office environment. Working closely with shop managers, project managers, sales representatives, customers, and suppliers, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are accurately estimated, effectively coordinated, and successfully delivered.
Key Responsibilities- Review manufacturing drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Prepare accurate estimates for labour, materials, machining, fabrication, welding, coatings, and subcontracted services.
- Develop and submit quotations using DynaIndustrial's ERP system.
- Coordinate project details, schedules, and deliverables with production teams.
- Work with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing, availability, and lead times.
- Purchase materials and outside services as required.
- Maintain communication with customers regarding project status, schedules, and delivery requirements.
- Track incoming materials, subcontracted work, and outgoing shipments.
- Support project managers and production teams throughout project execution.
- Ensure estimates and project documentation remain accurate and up to date.
We're looking for someone who possesses:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and industrial manufacturing knowledge.
- Experience in welding, fabrication, machining, or industrial equipment repair.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Understanding of welding symbols, welding processes, and fabrication practices.
- Previous estimating, quoting, project coordination, or project management experience is considered an asset.
- Experience with purchasing, material procurement, or inventory management is beneficial.
- Understanding of machining processes is considered an asset.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
