Position Introduction:

Katch Kan continues to develop a portfolio of technologies which both optimizes and sustains resource recovery programs internationally. We are looking an industrial seamstress to sew large amounts of fabric for manufacturing/wholesale production. Responsibilities include operating the machine, cutting edges on material, such as heavyweight fabric. As a sewer, you have to maintain your machines in good working order and be able to perform routine maintenance.
This job is a safety-sensitive position and therefore, you must pass a background check and drug and alcohol testing to be eligible for employment.
Role Accountabilities:
- Read and understand production work orders and related instructions.
- Make made-to-measure garments, such as A.C.E. units according to customers' request or manufacturers' specifications and fit.
- Design, select and/or modify commercial patterns to customers' and manufacturers' specifications.
- Mark, cut and sew fabric.
- Fit, alter and repair garments according to customers' requests by hand or using sewing machines.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance tasks such as replacing needles and cleaning sewing machines.
- Select supplies, such as fasteners and thread, in accordance with job specifications.
- Examine finished products to verify they meet our high-quality standards, and pass quality control inspections
- Adhere to established facility policies and procedures, including safety rules and safe working practices
- Complete documentation as required according to facility policy/job routines.

Education & Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Completion of a sewing course is preferred.
- Demonstrable experience as a sewing machine operator.
- Ability to create, read, and follow patterns.
- Working knowledge of sewing machine mechanics.
- Outstanding eyesight or utilization of corrective measures.
- Innovative, thoughtful, and attentive to detail.
- Top-notch interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage your time effectively
